Abstract

Geotextiles are really important in construction and transportation projects because they help with things like keeping soil separate filtering water draining water making things stronger and stopping erosion. How well geotextiles. How long they last depend on the type of soil they are in how wet the soil is, how much weight is on them what kind of chemicals they are exposed to and what the environment is like. Usually, people test geotextiles in a lab watch how they do in the field and use rules of thumb to figure out how they will work. This can take a long time cost a lot of money and it is hard to know if it will work the same in different types of soil.
